The West Point Werx Innovation Hub represents a major step in preparing Army leaders for the complexities of future warfare. Located in Taylor Hall, this hub fosters creativity and collaboration among cadets, faculty, and partners to tackle challenges in advanced technologies like AI, autonomous systems, and electronic warfare. Launched in September, the facility’s establishment was made possible by Robb and Lydia Turner, whose contributions were commemorated during the dedication ceremony.
The Werx integrates cross-disciplinary research portfolios, including Space, Sustainability, Cyber & Data, and Human-Machine Integration, with a focus on solving critical Army and national issues. It supports innovative cadet education through project-based learning and partnerships with the Army, DoD, industry, and academia. Notably, its collaborations, such as using autonomous robots for battlefield mapping, exemplify its mission to prepare cadets as future leaders and innovators.
West Point Werx embodies West Point’s unique interdisciplinary expertise and commitment to shaping the Army’s future.
